We are specialists at installing epoxy based products to walls and floors of newbuild and existing buildings.
Epoxy coatings for waterproofing typically work by binding to concrete substrates and provided a high level of adhesion. Its possible to keep water in or out of a structure using these products.
Correct surface preparation is essential for the success of the products. This is achieved by grinding the surface of the substrate and filling any cracks or gaps with high build cement. Octopus Building Services have a full range of Hilti grinding equipment to achieve a high standard of preparation.
We use Epoxy based solutions on sound concrete where a load bearing waterproofing surface, with a minimum build up is needed. Its therefore perfect for where plant rooms are needed and an industrial load bearing finish is needed.
We install Epoxy paints from a variety of manufacturers; RIW Toughseal, SikaDur 32, Newton Epoxy products, ARDEX WPM200 and Delta Water Based Epoxy.
We also use Epoxy based products for our range of bunding solutions for use below Raised Access Floors such as Kingspan RLG 500 PSA range of flooring. Our exclusive system works with galvanised steel angel bunds and RIW Toughseal Epoxy paint to create a watertight bund underneath sources of water in raised access flooring solutions. Its perfect to catch an drips for water from under kitchens, toilet, server rooms and plant areas.
Our Epoxy solutions are available in a variety of colours and can incorporate slip resistance and custom finishes.
We’ve installed Epoxy based products on a wide variety of buildings from the smallest domestic basement to the largest underground commercial bunkers. Our designers hold the required CSSW qualifications and have many years experience in designing waterproofing systems which meet and exceed BS8102.
