PAINT ON PRODUCTS

We offer a variety of paint on solutions to waterproof and gasproof your underground structure or retaining walls.

Careful preparation of the substrate is always needed prior to the application of paint on products, and it is normal to apply a fairing coat of cement to give a smooth and consistent surface on blockwork.

It’s also crucially important to get the correct coverage of the product onto the substrate to ensure the system works effectively. Usually the installation would be finished off with a protection membrane to stop the area being damaged by backfill or site activities.

We fit a variety of paint on products from our suppliers: Newton 103, Newton 107 and Newton 109; Sika Combiflex, Visqueen Axiom products, RIW Flexiseal and RIW Cementflex are regular examples. Usually the paint on product will form part of a larger range of products installed to make the basement waterproof.

Paint on products are especially useful on awkward and curved shapes, or on difficult substrates. For example we use Newton 109 to coat walls of ICF structures (Insulated Concrete Formwork) as it doesn’t have a chemical reaction with the ICF and forms a very good bond.

We’ve installed paint on products on a wide variety of buildings from the smallest domestic basement to the largest underground commercial bunkers. Our designers hold the required CSSW qualifications and have many years experience in designing waterproofing systems which meet and exceed BS8102.

We offer a full design service for your basement project, and can offer a comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance solution for basements which need the design to be insured.
