Liftpits are often the lowest point in the structure of a building. Waterproofing them effectively is important as they contain important equipment essential for the operation of the building.

Liftpits on newbuild buildings can be waterproofed externally with Type A protection, such as Hydrobond 403 and Cetco Voltex DS. Its also advisible to use swellable waterbars such as the Newton 315 system.

Liftpits on both new and existing buildings can be waterproofed using paint on products internally.

Existing flooded liftpits are a regular occurrence where waterproofing has either been missed damaged or incorrectly fitted. We offer a large range of solutions to bring the pit back into use and keep it dry. 

Typical solutions are a combination of paint on products and concrete injection into voids behind the concrete liftpit. There are multiple causes of failure and a careful evaluation is needed before remedial works begin.
