TORCH ON PRODUCTS
We are experts at installing Visqueen Torch-on, and regularly install it across newbuild sites all over the UK.
The product is unusual in the UK market in that it is applied with a propane torch. This gives the product a very strong bond to the substate and a superior resistance to site damage when compared to other products. It sis known as a sully bonded product and is usually used in Type A (external) applications.
The product is ideally installed where there are multiple changes in direction or complicated shapes exist. It’s also a great product to use in cold temperatures where liquid products would struggle to cure.
Pipe penetrations can be sealed with Axiom Uniseal, and the product is usually given a final layer of protection with Visqueen Protect and Drain membrane.
As with all products preparation of the substrate is essential as is the correct amount of heat to ensure the product is fully bonded to the substrate. The product can be applied with one or two layers depending on the risk onsite.
Visqueen Torch-on also has certification to resist specific ground gasses so it useful for appropriate gas mitigation strategies.
We’ve installed Torch on products on a wide variety of
buildings from the smallest domestic basement to the largest underground
commercial bunkers. Our designers hold the required CSSW qualifications and
have many years experience in designing waterproofing systems which meet and
exceed BS8102.
